HardwarePlant — China hardware source factories by industrial belt

HardwarePlant is a hardware sourcing platform built around China's hardware industrial belts (产业带). It lists thirteen hardware categories — fasteners, hand tools, power-tool accessories, stamping and CNC parts, springs, locks, valves and faucets, pipe fittings, lifting and rigging, wire mesh, cutting tools and abrasives — and under each category the source factories of the belt that actually makes that item, with their specific products. International buyers enter by category, compare factories on one specification sheet, and consolidate several factories into one container instead of meeting every factory's minimum order quantity.

Every category page names the belt that makes it, the specification items that decide price, typical MOQ and lead time, and the standards your quotation will be checked against. Factory pages and their products hang under the category URL.

How sourcing works

  1. Send your requirementA drawing, a standard code, a photo with measurements, or a reference sample — plus target quantity and destination port.
  2. Match the right beltWe route the enquiry to the industrial belt that actually makes that item, not to whichever factory asked first.
  3. Compare factories side by sideYou get the specification, MOQ, tooling cost, lead time and test evidence of each candidate in one table.
  4. Approve a first articleA pre-production sample is inspected against the agreed spec sheet before the batch is released.
  5. Consolidate and shipSeveral factories load into one container with separate packing lists, so MOQ per factory stops being your problem.

Questions buyers ask

What is a China hardware industrial belt and why should a buyer care?

An industrial belt is a county or district where one hardware category is produced by hundreds or thousands of clustered factories sharing wire-drawing, plating, heat-treatment, tooling and logistics suppliers. Buyers care because the belt sets your realistic price, MOQ and lead time: fasteners from Handan Yongnian, brass valves from Nan'an Fujian and welded mesh from Anping Hebei are not interchangeable quote bases.

How do I buy from source factories without meeting every MOQ?

Consolidation. Choose the items you need from several factories in the same or neighbouring belts, let the specification and packing standard be agreed once per category, then load the combined cargo into one container with a separate packing list per factory. Source factories accept small per-item quantities far more readily when they know the container is guaranteed.

How does HardwarePlant differ from a trading company?

A trading company sells you its own margin and its own stock list; a source-factory platform routes the enquiry to the factory in the belt that makes the item, quotes the factory cost with a declared service fee, and lets you standardise the specification sheet per category instead of per intermediary.

What information do I need before asking a factory for a price?

For catalogue items: the standard code, size range, material or property class, coating and quantity per size. For custom items: a STEP plus dimensioned DXF, tolerance class, annual volume, coating spec and destination port. Quantity per size and annual volume are what move a quotation by the widest margin.

Which certificates and marks do hardware imports actually need?

It depends on the goods and the market, not the label. Lifting and rigging goods need proof-load records and WLL marking; bonded abrasive wheels need burst-speed and maximum-RPM testing; potable-water brass needs a declared lead percentage; the EU needs CE/DoC where a harmonised standard applies and EAC applies to the Eurasian Customs Union. Ask for the report with the exact model name before payment.

What is the cheapest quality failure to avoid in hardware sourcing?

Specifying only the visible attributes. Weight per piece, coating thickness in microns or grams per square metre, hardness range, and the test method decide whether a part performs; size and colour do not. Put those four on the purchase order and most disputes disappear.

Send a drawing, a standard code or a sample

Quantity per size, destination port and target price band are enough to start. We route it to the factories in the belt that makes your item and return one comparison sheet.
